These Terms of Use govern access to and use of MyBible, including its Bible-reading, discovery, reflection, journaling and related services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing or using MyBible, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application or related services.
These terms form an agreement between you and MyBible regarding your use of the app, website and connected services.
2. Purpose of the App
MyBible provides Bible reading, study, discovery, listening, journaling, reflection, habit, reminder and related spiritual-growth tools. The app is designed to support engagement with Scripture and personal faith routines.
MyBible does not replace a Bible, church community, pastoral care, professional counselling, medical advice, legal advice or other qualified professional services.
3. User Accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account. You may not create an account using another person's identity, access another user's account without permission or use the service in a way that compromises account security.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use MyBible lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening or harmful activity.
- Attempt to interfere with, damage, overload or bypass the app's security or technical protections.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, copy or extract protected parts of the service except where permitted by law.
- Upload malicious code, harmful files or content that violates another person's rights.
- Use automated systems to access the service in a manner that creates unreasonable load or circumvents limits.
- Misrepresent MyBible content, impersonate another person or use the service to spread intentionally deceptive material.
5. AI-Powered Features
Some features may use automated or artificial-intelligence-powered systems to help identify relevant Scripture, support discovery, organise information or provide contextual responses.
Automated outputs may contain errors, omissions or interpretations that do not reflect every Christian tradition or theological perspective. You should verify references in Scripture and seek appropriate pastoral or professional guidance when needed.
You may not use automated features to generate harmful, unlawful, deceptive or abusive content, or to attempt to discover system instructions, security controls or confidential technical information.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of original content you create in MyBible, such as journal entries, notes, reflections, sketches, tasks or other personal material.
You grant MyBible a limited licence to host, store, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as necessary to operate, synchronise, secure and improve the service. You are responsible for ensuring that content you submit does not violate the law or another person's rights.
7. Intellectual Property
MyBible's name, logo, software, interface, original design, graphics, databases, written product content and other materials are owned by or licensed to MyBible and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of MyBible or its intellectual property to you.
8. Bible Translations and Content
Bible translations, audio recordings and related content may be owned by third-party publishers, Bible societies or licensors and may be subject to separate copyright notices, territorial restrictions or usage conditions.
You may use Bible content made available through MyBible for personal use within the app. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit protected translations or recordings except where the relevant licence or law permits it.
Availability may differ by country, language, platform or licence and may change without notice.
10. Availability of Service
We aim to keep MyBible reliable and accessible, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device.
Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended or removed as the product evolves. Some services require internet access, account registration, supported hardware, third-party availability or a paid plan.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyBible is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or freedom from all defects.
MyBible and its owners, team members, partners and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, spiritual or personal decisions, or damage arising from reliance on app content, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, how personal content is treated and the choices available to you. By using MyBible, you acknowledge that information will be handled as described in that policy.
13. Children's Use
Users below the age required to consent to digital services in their country should use MyBible only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a child's use of the service and for reviewing whether app features are appropriate for that child.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes to the app, business, law, security requirements or available services.
When changes are material, we may provide notice within the app, on the website or through another appropriate channel. The updated terms apply from the effective date displayed on this page.
15. Termination
You may stop using MyBible at any time and may request account deletion in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, create a security risk, abuse the service, infringe rights or use MyBible unlawfully. Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any mandatory consumer rights available in your country remain unaffected.
Before beginning formal proceedings, the parties should make a reasonable effort to resolve a dispute through good-faith communication.
